Pick Up / Return Location Map

This is a totally unique service for Race goers during Royal Ascot, with the pick up and drop of so close to the Entrances. This service allows you to Hire your Hat for only day required, and save the two/three day charges companies away from Ascot may charge if you cannot collect, and return your hat the same day of Royal Ascot.

International customers flying in from all corners of the globe have found this service invaluable and make up over half our customer list each year. No longer the need to carry bulky hat boxes on the plane, or allow extra days ahead of the races to find a Hat, our site allows you to view rotating views of each hat, with sizes advised, and tips for selecting the right hat. These customers can now fly without hats, and simply collect and return their booked hat in Ascot on the day.

Hats can be tried on, colour checked, size checked in advance by APPOINTMENT only at 13 Prince Andrew Way, Ascot, Berkshire, SL5 8NQ. Please call on: 07958 950303 if you would like to make an appointment to view, try, or colour check the Hats before booking.

"I'm Royal Enclosure, so it has to be a Hat" - NOT TRUE

Visitors to the Royal Enclosure ARE ALLOWED to wear Headpieces, they simply need be more than 4", and sit over the crown of your head. Little small clips and comb designs (more often called Fascinators) are what has been banned from the Royal Enclosure. Headpieces are bigger, and in many cases larger than Hats.

Headpieces are designs that don't feature "Crowns and Brims", but instead are modern Berets, Smarties, Buttons, Crowns etc. These more sculptural designs favoured by the younger Royals, are considered by most as more fashion forward, and often very creative. They are absolutely accepted in the Royal Enclosure.

All our Hats are available outside of Ascot for Mother of the Brides, Mother of the Groom
and other Race Meetings
by Mail Order or you can Collect

    2. Dresses and tops should have straps of one inch or greater.

    3. Jackets and pashminas may be worn but dresses and tops underneath should still comply with the Royal Enclosure dress code.

    5. Jumpsuits are welcome. They should be of full-length to the ankle, with regulations matching that for dresses.

    6. Hats should be worn; however a headpiece which has a solid base of 4 inches (10cm) or more in diameter is acceptable as an alternative to a hat.

    7. Strapless, off the shoulder, halter neck and spaghetti straps are NOT permitted.

    8. Midriffs must be covered.

    9. Fascinators (that's those small things - bits of fluff, sinamay, straw, small flowers or feathers stuck on tiny base) are not permitted; neither are headpieces which do not have a solid base covering a sufficient area of the head (4 inches/10cm).

“The pinnacle of the British social calendar, Royal Ascot has been bringing together the best of style, sport and entertainment, since Queen Anne decided that Ascot Heath would be the most wonderful venue for Racing Horses back in 1711. Britain’s most valuable race meeting, Royal Ascot attracts many of the world’s finest racehorses to compete for more than £6.58milllion in prize money. Horses from as far as Australia and the USA, are drawn to the races for every age group, flat racing, from 5 furlongs to nearly three miles.“

JUMPSUITS PERMITTED SINCE 2018
“Fashion and style are an important part of the Royal Ascot experience for all of our customers. The inclusion of jumpsuits as part of the Royal Enclosure dress code recognises our customers’ fashion-forward taste and reflects our awareness of seasonal trends."“

Julie Slot, Commercial Director at Ascot.
